Mac Dynamite is an award winning mac and cheese company based out of Chicago, originally started by Chef Eric Jones
Mac Dynamite was initially born out of a desire to bring delicious food to local barbecues instead of the traditional alcohol or store bought appetizer. The passion for mac and cheese stems from an episode of "Good Eats" with Alton Brown, in which he crafts a mouth-watering mac and cheese recipe.
After Chef Eric Jones used his roommates as guinea pigs, he changed up the recipe and made it his own. In 2009, he took his first batch to a monthly barbecue/dance party called "Sunday Brunchlox". It was such a big hit that for the next 3 years, he continued to make mac and cheese for each monthly party. Every time Eric would walk in, people would cheer and line up with their plates and forks.
Jeffrey McCreary was one of those people who tasted Jones's unique and delicious creations. With his wide array of experience of working 20 years in hospitality at 5 star hotels, as well as other entrepreneurial projects, he knew that there was something more to this not-so-simple comfort food.
After winning multiple awards at competitions around the Chicago area, Mac Dynamite was born.
